We’re making some slight changes to the user interface. Although seemingly minor, many of these tweaks make a big difference in the instant usability of our search engine ranking tools available through Essio Studio.
In the past, we required you to enter a date range in a text field to change the date range of a graph. In general, this works fine, but there are times that typos introduce issues. Plus the format of the date has to be very specific. So we just introduced a date picker for every date field. When you focus on a date field, a date picker will automatically appear below the date field. Sure, you can still type the date in if you want. But you can also now find the date on an easy-to-understand calendar. This is a metaphor we think many of you will find valuable.
Here’s a snippet of a page showing the date picker in action on our search engine ranking graph:

We’ve also added labels to our graphs. While we think the data displayed on our graphs is straightforward, as we move to visualize ever more complex data, having a textual clue to the information being presented is a good thing. Plus, not everyone who uses Essio Studio is an SEO expert.
Here’s a close up of our search ranking graph showing a new label. The label gives context to what is being shown in the graph.
